TWO reasons why I like TMBG:
1. Birdhouse in my Soul is featured in one my favorite TV shows (Pushing Daisies).
2. This song / music video. (I hope to one day come to that level of Flash awesomeness).

boudin creek café

I went to Austin in anticipation of eating a whole lot and I surely accomplished that mission (we ate deep-fried butter!). We ate at both good and bad places, with one of the better spots being Boudin Creek Café. It is a charming, local joint that serves vegetarian breakfast and brunch dishes all day long. I ordered a blueberry corn bread (which they call cake) that was served with agave nectar, sunny side up eggs, and crispy hash browns. The only disappointment was not having any bacon, which I think is an integral ingredient to a delicious breakfast. I did try hot apple cider for the first time, though, and it was quite a tasty caramel treat. My whole meal was definitely a fall must. I will be trying my hand at corn bread and apple cider!
